The Drinking Water ( Presentation )

Good morning everybody, my name is George. Today I am very happy to have the chance to give my presentation. I would like to talk about Water, especially drinking water. Most developed nations provide drinking water on tap, that's why it is called tap water.

My topic, drinking water, will cover three points. Firstly water sources, Where is the water from ? And then bottled water, Is it more widely use in the future ? And finally the water economy - How we decide to choose drinking water safely and economically.

Ok, let me talk about the first point- water sources. They are ground water, lake water and river water. The best one is ground water ,because its quality and quantity are stable and firmly fixed. Sometimes we can find a specially good quality ground water, for example the Speights beer factory at the corner of Rattray Street. Have you ever been there to get it ? It is very good for health and free of charge.

Another source is lake water. It comes from the melting snow and rain in the mountains. The quality is much better than river water, because it is collected the drain from the land surface. It is easily polluted by sprays, fertilises and toxic nitrates. It is also influenced markedly by the weather. It costs more money to treat for drinking, for example the Dunedin City Council have spended about $ 60 million to upgrade the water quality from E to A, over 10 years.

The second point is bottled water. Mostly it is made of mineral and ground water or even tap water. It uses ozone gas instead of chlorine to kill the bacteria, so it is smell free and it tastes better than tap water. I think it will be more popular in the future.

The last point is water economy. Most water experts think both of tap water and bottled water are similar in quality. But bottled water is more expensive about 1,000 times more than tap water nearly the same price as petrol. Do you complain about the rising price of petrol? Wy do you still use bottled water?

In conclusion I suggest we use tap water more than bottled water, because it costs much money and wastes lots of PE bottles. Whose material is very hard to dispose of. And I hope the government should make some laws for compulsory water restrictions to save water sources.

Before I finish, I would like to say thank you for listening. It has been my pleasure. Thank you very much.

My Feeling

"You have the future , or you have this weapon, but you can't have doth them. " said Mcline , the speaker of White House. When I heard that I was surprised. Do you think it likes the voice which the parents speak to children. If you are people of N. K. How do you feel about it?

When someone is talking about the young people drinking alcohol age. Most of them, who are older age, agree the suggestion. But the young people don't agree that, someone even said it is a stupid idea, because the higher it goes, the more young people who are going to get into trouble for it. Realistically it isn't going to make any difference. I think they'll still get to have them and drink it.

The Last Weekend

I was so surprised that a group of people who were arrested by the police in England. That is because they tried to do a huge plot to crash many airplanes, While they were flying between England and United States.

At first I did not believe that is true. It is because there are many check monitors in every airport. It is very hard to bring some dangerous things by airplanes. But when I read the newspaper lately, I found it is too terrible and too shock to me, I didn't ever think that they used those special ways to make a bomber.

A group of people who individually brought a kind of liquor each other, they mixed its together to make a special chemical reaction. This reaction can cause a explosion to crash the airplane and to make a huge devasted.

I couldn't sympathise to the weak group in my deep heart. If they took those crude ways to hurt others who are innocence.

The feeling of big change

I am so sentimental valued about the moving of the School of Language, when the head of the school,Babara, told us the news yesterday.
Most of us do not like to change, even we almost are olds. How can we have party before.
I'm concerned about new place, there are many problems behind there, parking place, noise,facilities,..egs. Would it suit me the next term? I'm still doubtful.
It's a true news, because it is a business decision, we couldn't change it, just obey it. Bye Bye Tenny campus.
